I’m not sure what that title means. I’m pretty excited that I created a very basic, yet perfectly functional plugin for my blog, though.
You’ve probably noticed the differing numbers that appear on the header image (or not, if I’ve updated the images already). I’ve created a random image plugin that will generate a random number, append it to a filename, and randomize my header! (I only expect ooh’s and aah’s from geeky types.) Being that this is my first attempt at a plugin, I’m pretty relieved that I was successful. I have LOTS of plans for the site, and it helps if you can create or understand the code that you’re working with to tweak it to your needs. The next step is replacing the placeholder images with better pics…
I probably won’t actually “release” this plugin right now since there’s probably not a high demand for a random image implementation like I’ve done it, but if anyone that reads this post is interested, drop me a line and I’ll send you the code!

Well, that’s actually the only picture that I didn’t take. I first saw the picture in MSNBC.com’s “The Week in Pictures” slideshow for the week of July 8 - July 15, 2004. Meg and I had actually been out eating at Mrs. Rowe’s restaurant with her parents and saw a few of these people flying high above us. Then I saw the picture and I had to grab a copy of it. The caption for that picture read:
“Bruce Martin, 16, of Port Republic, Va., guides his powered parachute on July 7 to a landing strip in northwestern Virginia. Martin was flying high with friends and family in the smooth evening air after the thunderstorms passed through the area in the afternoon. Martin says he enjoys viewing wildlife from his parachute perch. The image was received on July 8.”
It was actually taken by a photographer for the Daily News Record.

Did you take all of those pictures that are randomly produced in the header? Who’s that skydiving?
