Things were looking pretty bleak after the first few innings as the Kansas City Royals had taken an 8-3 lead into the top of the fourth. Suddenly, and without warning, the bats of the Orioles started to come to life, and 6 runs were tacked on to give the O’s the lead. It’s currently 11-8 in the bottom of the eighth, the O’s are still winning, and Jorge Julio is pitching with 2 outs. Fortunately for those that would have been in earshot of me, I wasn’t able to watch the first couple of innings in which the Royals mounted their early lead.
UPDATE: The score is now 12-8, after Sal Fasano smacked a pinch hit home run in the top of the ninth! Now onto the bottom of the inning…
WOOHOO: The results are in:
| 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | R | H | E | |
| BAL | 2 | 0 | 1 | 6 | 0 | 0 | 2 | 0 | 1 | 12 | 15 | 1 |
| KC | 5 | 3 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 8 | 12 | 0 |
The O’s record is now 25-13.

Yeah, that game was crazy. I wasn’t really paying attention early on because I was hanging out at Jason’s but I saw where it was 5-2 Royals, then 8-3 Royals, and even though I knew the Orioles could comeback because it’s happened before and because they were playing Kansas City, I basically stopped watching.
So when I get home and see that it’s 9-8 Orioles I was amazed. Ponson has been so up and down this year. His 5-1 record is due mostly to the Orioles’ giving him tons of runs, considering his ERA sucks.
What a game!
