Mariners vs. O’s - Game 3

May 26th, 2005 Baseball O's

The O’s were able to break out the brooms, and sweep the Mariners. Cabrera pitched well enough to hold Seattle to 1 run over 7 innings, and the Orioles tacked on 5 thanks to 3 home runs from Mora, Palmeiro, and Tejada. Sammy made a spectacular catch to stop a potentially big inning for the Mariners (top highlight on Sportscenter), and Jorge Julio and Steve Reed came in from the bullpen to close out the final 2 innings (though Reed gave up a solo homer). I’m a little worried about the amount of baserunners that are being left on, and also by the fact that all of the runs came on homers.
