Only one true Rally in the Valley

I was driving in the car on my way to work today, and a radio commercial came on that immediately caught my attention. Starting last year, my wife and I began hosting a get-together for our college friends and siblings called the Rally in the Valley (pics will be posted as soon as I stop slacking and find a nice gallery for the site). It was basically started on a whim, when my buddy Jon thought it’d be a great idea to have all of the guys get together at a central location, since we don’t get the opportunity to hang out with each other as much since we graduated from JMU. Since my wife and I live in an area that is central, we offered to host the gathering.

An evite was sent out, mentioning a few goodies like a keg, food, ping pong, beer pong, places to sleep, and cow-tipping and the Rally was born. Actually, it wasn’t officially “born” until Bobo sent an email saying that he couldn’t wait for the “rally in the valley”. The first annual RITV was a huge hit, so we held another Rally this year as well (it ended up taking a year for Meg to get over the “excitement” of the first rally). :) So imagine my surprise (and dismay) when I hear about the grand opening of the Shenandoah Harley-Davidson that’s taking place from June 3-5, which they’ve labeled the 1st Annual Rally in the Valley! I know, there have been others, and there will be more, but I just want it to be known that we were the first in this area. ;) And ours is soooo much more fun….
