Tigers vs. O’s - Game 1

May 27th, 2005 Baseball O's

Surhoff, unfortunately, was unable to get the runner in, and grounded out to second as well. Things were looking bleak. Geronimo Gil followed and Brian Roberts followed, and they both walked. The bases were now loaded, with 2 outs, and the winning run on second base. The rookie Jeff Fiorentino was now at bat. Fiorentino was 0-4 on the night. I thought for sure that he was due, but he was unable to make contact with the ball, and went down on strikes. Ouch.
