Bruce Chen pitched another wonderful game for the O’s, yet the bullpen collapsed and threw away a 4 run lead in the 7th to allow the Tigers to sweep the O’s and hand the team their first 3-game losing streak. Steve Reed relieved Chen in the 7th inning, after Chen walked the first batter of the inning, and proceeded to give up two singles, a double, and a home run to allow the Tigers to take the lead. The Tigers were able to add one more run in the 7th, and the O’s were unable to answer. The O’s now travel to Boston for 4 games, and look to end the losing streak.

The O’s were swept by the Tigers, and their record is now 30-19.
