Houston vs. O’s - Game 3

I didn’t realize Rodrigo Lopez’s record is 5-2. It seems like he’s had his struggles as of late, but it doesn’t look like that’s hurt the team too much. He’s been pitching wonderfully tonight, now just recording his 7th strikeout in the top of the 8th inning. The only blemish in his performance came in the 5th, when he gave up a lead-off homerun.


The O’s grabbed an early lead, with a 2-run homer in the top of the 1st by Melvin Mora, and a 2 run single by Brian Roberts in the second. They just had bases loaded with one out in the bottom of the 7th, but Mora popped out to the pitcher, Tejada lined out to center (allowing Fasano to score), and Sosa popped out to the second baseman. We were only able to bring one run in with a great opportunity for more. So the lead is currently 5-1 in the top of the 8th, with a runner on second and 1 out.

@9:50 pm - Todd Williams came in to pitch the 9th, struggled with throwing strikes a little after he was able to get 2 outs, but did get the final out to give the O’s the win and the sweep.

The O’s sweep the series, and their record is now 39-26.
