Thunder in the Valley Foosball Spectacular

ESPN’s SportsCenter is coming to the Shenandoah Valley! From July 22nd through the 24th, SportsCenter will be airing live from the Byers Street Bistro in Staunton as part of their “SportsCenter Across America” summer tour. They will cover the 4th annual Thunder in the Valley Foosball Spectacular that’s held at the Bistro.

O’s vs. Atlanta - Game 2

I wasn’t going to write anything about this game, since it’s not being broadcast in my area, but I happened to catch the end of the game online through MLB.com’s Gameday. I wish I hadn’t seen any of it. I hate having to follow games through Gameday, because the updates are slow, and you end up staring at the screen during exciting innings waiting for some text to display to tell you what happened next. I don’t know why TBS didn’t cover the damn game today, they seem to have covered every other stinking Braves game this season. I can’t believe I get blacked out when Harrisonburg (30 minutes north) carries the station that covers the O’s on the weekend. I’m quite the frustrated fan. Anyway…

I hate painting

If there’s one thing I really don’t like to do, it’s painting. Which is kind of surprising to me, because there’s really not a lot of thought or skill required, and I’ve done it many times in my life. As a matter of fact, when I was younger, my brother and I would help mom and dad with fixing up their rental houses by painting. Lots of painting. Now, though, my wife and I are homeowners, and there’s an endless list of projects that need to be done around the house, most of which require painting something.
