Road warrior

That’s right, I was on the road again the past few days! This time, I traveled home to see the family and play in a best-ball golf tournament with my brother and a couple of friends. Unfortunately, we left a few shots out on the course (I didn’t contribute anywhere near what I expected to), but we were still able to pull out a fourth place ranking out of the 36 teams that were competing.

The tournament was held at Eagle’s Landing Golf Course in west Ocean City. It’s a beautiful course on the Sinepuxent Bay, with some very scenic and challenging holes. The temperature was close to 100°F on the day of the tournament, which made for some rough conditions, but I had a great time nonetheless. I did end up coming home with some mild sun-poisoning on my forehead and chin (I don’t know how I missed my chin when I put the sunscreen on), and with a pretty badly burned scalp. The visor just wasn’t enough protection for a day like that.

So I’ve already spent whatever earnings I had amassed (I’m the proud owner of an Orioles golf towel and Eagle’s Landing beer cozy), and I’m ready for the next opportunity to get out there and hack ‘em around a bit more. :)
