As mentioned in this comment, Rafael Palmeiro has been suspended for 10 days for testing positive for steroid use. Palmeiro had testified to Congress back in March that he has “never used steroids. Period.” Yet, the news was announced Monday, and the Orioles are now without their star first baseman. It couldn’t have come at a worse time, too, as the O’s have lost their last eight games straight, and the last thirteen out of fourteen. I’ve been hoping that Raffy would open up more about the situation and what all of the facts are, but he has remained silent, except for a statement that was released claiming that the ingestion of the illegal substance was “unintentional.” Now, Congress members are requesting the documents related to the failed drug test, possibly in an effort to see if Palmeiro committed perjury when he testified. I’m still holding out to see what Palmeiro’s side of the story is, but it’s hard not to be disappointed, especially since Raffy seemed to be one of the “good” guys, and a champion of the game.

I think the New York Times was reporting that the stuff is pretty difficult to take “accidentally” since it needs to be injected or taken in pill form.
Completely unrelated: Thanks for the graphics card. It has been a few days now, so I can say with confidence that it worked! Thanks Chris!
