I really hate it when it goes from a nice, moderate temperature, to blazingly hot. I’ve always been a cooler weather person, so I was truly enjoying the low 70’s temperatures we were having last week. Then, out of nowhere, it was decided that Spring would be bypassed altogether, and Summer would come swooping in at full strength. So, here I am, in a muggy office, wishing I could just kick the thermostat down a bit to combat the ridiculous humidity in this part of the building.

As I opened the garage this morning to begin my arduous journey to work, I heard the sound of birds chirping out in the yard. The strange thing was these birds were chirping the tune of Will Smith’s “Switch”. So I started quietly singing the lyrics as I got into my Jeep. As I fired up the engine, the radio came on and Q101 was playing that very song! Woah.

I was driving in the car on my way to work today, and a radio commercial came on that immediately caught my attention. Starting last year, my wife and I began hosting a get-together for our college friends and siblings called the Rally in the Valley (pics will be posted as soon as I stop slacking and find a nice gallery for the site). It was basically started on a whim, when my buddy Jon thought it’d be a great idea to have all of the guys get together at a central location, since we don’t get the opportunity to hang out with each other as much since we graduated from JMU. Since my wife and I live in an area that is central, we offered to host the gathering.
