» Surprise, surprise. I’ve heard many an individual comment on how difficult it is to cancel their internet service with AOL. After numerous complaints were filed in New York, the state has stepped up and fined AOL $1.25 million dollars, and directed them to reform their customer service policies so that it’s not as difficult for customers to call in and cancel. One of the policies that is being reformed is an incentive plan that was giving “bonuses in the tens of thousands of dollars if representatives were able to retain half the customers who called to cancel their service”. It’s shocking that there would be so many problems with such a policy in place… Comments Off (468)

» A study by Bert Sperling has been released, revealing the 10 best places to live in the United States. The #1 place on the list: Charlottesville, VA. Interesting, also, is that 3 of the top 15 cities are from Virginia (Charlottesville, Roanoke, and Lynchburg). Comments Off (619)

» This one is for you, Meg. :) It looks like Daylight-Saving Time is going to be extended! An energy bill is currently being negotiated by the House and Senate that includes an amendment to extend the amount of daylight-saving time by starting three weeks earlier, on the second Sunday in March, and ending one week later, on the first Sunday in November. Rep. » I don’t know about a “miracle”, but I’m sure it’s a really cool feeling. Especially for two people to do it. Even more so since they’re playing in the same group. Even more so since they happen to be cousins. Even more so because it happened on back-to-back shots. And even more so because they’re women. Haha, just kidding on that last one. I’m still waiting on my first, though… Comments Off (533)

» I would love to see more articles like this. Well, not so much for what’s in the content, but for the message in the title. In actuality, it shouldn’t take an article like that to point out something so obvious. The media pays too much attention to the negative events in our society, like O.J. Simpson, Scott Peterson, the runaway bride, and Robert Blake. I want to hear more feel-good news. Stop bombarding the youth of today with such horrible rubbish! Comments Off (559)
